The thing is, I am not allowed to pack anything into my husband's suitcase, I guess he thinks I have cooties....so we each have separate ones. He is very particular, folds things a certain way, takes very little...I, on the other hand, guess I don't do things his way???? Guess all those extra clothes do tell a story.....on the way back, his suitcase comes in very handy for dirty laundry, as does the carry on that carried all of the water bottles filled with.......water???

I have been trying to pare things down on every cruise. Somehow, it isn't quite working. I have learned to mix and match so that I don't take as many clothes or shoes. One of my favorite sites (and people) is Cruise Diva.com. She has tips for every phase of cruising plus reviews and articles. I personally love her timeline. I use it before every cruise so I don't forget the important "to do's".

Dobie to this day we still cross pack our suitcases just in case one or two are lost.........especially if we have a connecting flight like we normally do from OKC to Dallas.......then to our final destination...........one reason we pack early...........and to avoid going overweight with the airline restrictions.

Jim, we do that also. We'll mix our things up in the bags so that if one did get lost we'd still be able to get by rather nicely.

Dobie we have just always done that on the advice of our first travel agent..........I think it was 88 or something like that........of course the larger I get, my clothes weigh more

We cross pack too. No lost luggage so far and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it never happens.

I'm the packer as well as the planner so DH never knows what items of his are with which ones of mine.
