I love that Caribbean blue water! There is no where else where you can see such color and clarity.

Agree with EVERYONE that there are many great things to do in Barbados and it's wonderful to hear about them.
When respsonding to this post, the OP (joohea) mentioned "mobility isssues" so let's all put on our thinking caps and suggest things they would be able to do and enjoy.![]()

Hi we're going on a cruise to southern Caribbean April 2012, and Barbados is one of our stops. Have a question about this excursion, how long do you get to spend on the beach? I love snorkeling so that part is great for me, but DH doesn't snorkel, he would like to just relax on the beach or boat. Any tips you can give will be gladly accepted.
Carnival Victory April 22,2012. so excited to be cruising again.
The amount of time you will spend on the beach will depend on the excursion that you book. We did a mountain bike adventure and spent a couple of hours on the beach. there are other excursions that a full beach and snorkel days

We are doing a 10 day Southern Caribbean on NCL Dawn in late Feb., 2012 and are going to book a 3 hour air conditioned bus excursion on Barbados through the cruise line. We too have mobility issues and this way we will get to see the high spots with very little walking involved.
I'm thinking of making our stop in Antigua our "beach day". Is that a good idea?![]()
