Barbados is a very popular port of call.

Please tell us what you've enjoyed doing there the most!

If I don't know the answer I'm fairly certain I can find it.

A bad day at sea is better than a good day at work.

PE .... Totally agree! Boatyard is a wonderful way to spend a day at the beach in Barbados!

Report with comments from others on Boatyard is on this this board section .... just scroll or click below:

(Barbados: The BOATYARD Beach - Report)http://www.cruiselinefans.com/barbados/20138-barbados-boatyard-beach-report.html

Also, I'll "bump" it back up so it'll be easier to find. Boatyard has been around for a long time so the info and their website remain the same.....

Very nice for a day visit but to go to Barbados & just visit the Boatyard is a bit of a waste, I do realise that time is short on a one day 8 hour visit though. Being from the UK the driving problems are much less, but getting a rental car is a good idea or even a taxi tour.

Most people here are only visiting Barbados via cruise ship. So with the limited time, yes I would suggest a taxi tour for your first visit, which is what we did. On subsequent visits we are just looking for relaxation and sun. If we wanted to explore more of an island we would probably go there for an extended period of time because the complexion of most Caribbean ports changes when a ship is in port.

Sara Taylor does do a good tour I am told, but for some reason can be on occasions less than diligent replying to emails, or never gets them, so you MUST get confirmation of any trip (not just Glory, any tour anyway)

Interesting you should say that...I for one did not have that experience in fact just the opposite.. We booked two tours with her one smaller one for me and David and another one for the group we were leading at that time....she always responded within 24 hours..

We love Barbados and find it hard to select one great thing to do on a short visit. the highlight of our last visit was a catamaran day trip on the Silvermoon to swim with the sea turtles. Fabulous!
