If you wish, PLEASE give your reasons. They could be very helpful to people who haven't been but are considering going.

Good beaches, and I've been told good nightlife in the St Lawrence Gap.
    Personally, not keen about Barbados.

We LOVE Barbados! There's so much we like doing there, it's always hard trying to decide which we want to do most!

We just did that in March:

We had a tour in the afternoon - Barbados Finest Blends. First we went to a brewery - Banks - were given a talk and shown some of the old vats that they used to use. At the end everyone was treated to a bottle of bank’s beer - it wasn’t bad considering that I am not a beer drinker. Then we went to the Mount Gay Rum Factory. Again shown lots of old kettles and gave the history of the various rums they produce. At the end everyone was given a tiny, tiny sample of 3 of the rums. It wasn’t a bad tour but I certainly wouldn’t recommend it if you have never been to Barbados before. There are a lot of better tours for the first timers.

We have been there quite a few times -- best tour we have enjoyed: Harrisons Caves -- they just reopened in March 2008.

Thanks for the info. I'm on the hunt for special rums you can't get here.

In Trinidad, and all of the Caribbean, you can buy Mount Gay Rum all the time. I have a flask I got free when we were there in 2004 on the Carnival Destiny.
