barbados activities

i am looking to either sit on Crane beach for the day or take a catamaran on Barbados. which would be best? If a catamaran, which one? Is there one that is not to crowded and that you dont have to wear a flotation device to snorkel? If not Crane beach, then what beach would be better. Personal opinions will be helpful.

Honestly...all beaches in Barbados are great and you can't gp wrong with any beach you choose. Crane Beach is a bit of a distance from the port(on the east of the island) probably about 20/30 minutes depending on traffic. There are a couple of beaches within walking distance/short cab ride from the port. I.E. Malibu Beach(Brandon's Beach to locals) and Browns Beach(part of which is utilized by the boatyard)

For Catamarans you can check either Thriller Ocean Tours or Silvermoon. I have never used either one so I cannot give a personal recommendation but from reading reviews these seem to provide the greatest customer satisfaction.

Hope this helps. If you have any further questions I will be happy to assist.

We have sailed on the Silvermoon, and enjoyed it so much that we have booked it again for our upcoming cruise. They do require that you wear the vest when snorkeling, but when we were anchored for lunch we didn't have to wear it then. You don't HAVE to inflate it, so it really is no problem.
