Question about time / excursions

We are going to be in Nassau, with the RCI Monarch of the Seas, on July 1st. There really isn’t much that jumps out at us for excursions (for the most part), but two excursions and one “private” tour does appear near the top on all the lists we have made.

The first is the Nassau Sightseeing & Ardastra Gardens (2 1/2 hours) starting at 8:30, the second is then Discover Atlantis Tour (2 1/2 Hours) Starting at 11:15 and lastly is the Bacardi Tour - starting at 2:00.

Now, the big question is – with 15 minutes between the end of one and the beginning of the next – is this doable? Is it worth running from one the other? If not, we can very easily drop the Discover Atlantis tour, and take the 2 hours, 45 minutes to leisurely make our way from the Ardastra Gardens to the Bacardi Distillery, having lunch on the way.

Second question is – where is the Ardastra Gardens in relation to the Bacardi Distillery? Is the Ardastra Gardens anywhere near the Versailles Gardens? Where are the Forts in relation to these areas? And lastly, the Queens Staircase; from what I have read and pictures I have seen, this appeals to us. Where is this located in relation to the rest?

Is there any way to get (or do any of you have) GPS coordinates for these locations so I can try and map them out to plan our day there?

Is there any activity or location (on Land) that I have missed that anyone would recommend?

Thanks in advance

Jim

hmmm . . . personally, I wouldn't recommend booking two excursions with only a mitter of fifteen minutes between them. It would be awfully easy to miss the second one and be disappointed... to say nothing of losing the bucks

I would skip the Bacardi tour-not much to see and use that time to see the highlights of the area on your own before making your way back to the ship...

And thought I have done the Atlantis tour, you could check it out on your own time as well with no need for booking an actual tour time...this leaves you free to book the first tour with no worries or rush to make it to the next sights!

Jim,

We did the Atlantis on our own and it was enjoyable. It's a once type thing, probably wouldn't go back and do it again. When we were through, we roamed the streets by the port. The shopping was a bit pricey, but still it was a good time just browsing.

i wouldn't bother with the atlantis tour, do it on your own. we were there in january , just went in and wandered around, you can see everything on your own. don't know about bacardi tour, went to the "house of bacardi" on bay street in nassau, nothing special except very good prices on their product.
