Even so . . . Any time is a good time to cruise, IMO
Well, our winters are PLENTY cold for ous Floridians!
We had to use our furnace for a number of days this winter. Got very tired of that stuff very fast!
we've still got our central heating on sheila, and will have for at least another month yet
N.C.L. DEPOSIT BOOKED... DON'T KNOW WHERE, DON'T KNOW WHEN
Me, too! We had ouirs on for a total of about 10 or 12 daysthis year. (Not all at once, of course)
Right now, we are needing central air during part of the day.

Generally you can expect nice weather in March/April and after the hurricane season you shoould have nice weather for the beach from middle of October till middle of November. This is my long time experience! But I wonder that experienced travel agents recommend the Bahamas even in December and January. During the winter months the weather can be chilly and cold fronts can blow.
Bahamians say they are blessed with warm weather year-round. This is not altogether true. Some quick research reveals that it can indeed snow in the Bahamas, but it's highly unlikely. In fact, it's only happened once in recorded history. In the January 1977 Bahamian soil was covered with snow. But honestly it is often too cold for relaxing at the beach. Last week one could see tourists wearing woolen caps on Nassaus´ streets. The temperature dropped in Freepport to the 40-degree mark at the weekend. AccuWeather.com published a RealFeel temperature of 25 degrees F for Grand Bahama.
I have red an article that in the year 2006 Bahamian students have been sent home due to cold weather because some of the children have had runny noses already and many of them were sitting in their classrooms and freezing. And do not be astonished about announcements that the junkanoo parade at Christmas will be adjourned due too heavy downpour of rain. Be careful about Bahamian publications which are too often contrary to the truth.
