if you book comfort suites $135, you can get the facilities of atlantis. they've got some sort of tie up,or you can go on the beach for free like we did last month and still go into atlantis and look around,go to the casino, use the rest rooms ect. just not be able to use atlantis beach facilities without paying.

oh it's easier to get there by taxi rather than by water-taxi.
    $4 per person each way.

Don't know if it will help or not, but I just found this little blurb about Cabbage beach on Bahamas Beaches, Beaches In The Bahamas, Best Beaches In Bahamas, Bahamas Beach . There are blurbs about several other area beaches there, as well

    Cabbage Beach

Among Bahamas beaches on Paradise Island, Cabbage beach sees the most traffic throughout the year. Travelers will find it to be one of the most crowded beaches in the Bahamas, but still a very nice beach. Unfortunately, the beach does not have any public restrooms or changing facilities, but a customer of one of the restaurants or businesses located on the beach can use the bathroom. If you will be traveling to this Bahamas beach with children, you will likely want to plan to have lunch in one of the cafes rather than bringing a picnic, so you can take advantage of the chance to freshen up in the restaurant bathroom.

We had a great time..however the weather was a bit chilly...(March 1)..when there were no clouds...about 75*f...but if a cloud went over....brrrr! Cabbage beach was perfect..lots to do..eat and drink..but no restrooms... The kids warmed up to the O-2 kids club half way thru the trip and wished they started from the beginning!!! So encourage them to do it!! We we dragged them to Country Karioke..they blew us off! LOL! Only saw them at dinner!
