Problem is that we really DISLIKE our port stops in Nassau because they tend to be Jan/Feb with the weather is "iffy" and the water is normally too cold for me.

On the other hand we have been in Nassau/Bahamas in the late spring on land trips and just loved it. There really are some lovely beaches!
I was there in Jan 07 my GF and her sister were "ccccccccold" me I loved the weather, just right. But I get hot very easy, example sitting 2 inches from A/C it is on med fan temp all the way to coldest setting and I am considering cranking that fan to high That is how I feel...

Anyway, I can see the nice beaches, the water was so pretty, actually trying to go back and see RCCL's little private island... For a beach day.

CocoCay is one of my most favorite places in the whole world! We do a couple of the three or 4 nighters to the Bahamas each year, primarily because CocoCay is on the itinerary.
We figure Nassau comes along with the bargain, and that's fine, but it's CocoCay that I really enjoy!

    I voted no opinion.

We have been there a couple of times but each time it was only for a couple of hours, which was not enough time to go to the beach. Been to Atlantis once, we saw it and that was enough. No need to return.

So where is this great beach in Nassau? I have been there several times and haven't been able to find it.

If you like conch fritters, cracked conch, fresh grouper, etc., Nassau is the place.

I did land vacations there before I cruised there - including Paradise Island before Atlantis was built.

Last time I was there, I wasn't sure what to do so I did a self-guided walking tour:
Carnival Liberty A Free Nassau Walking tour April 2006

Lots of free maps with at least a couple of routes available in the tourist center.

As usual, Zy, your photos are great!
I remember seeing a lot of the things in your pics, but you saw things that I have missed, as well, so I was glad to see pics of them, also.

The first few times we stopped there, we spent an entire day there and had lots of time to do tours and walk around town.

ALL of our last cruises we have been getting there around 7 AM and leaving by 1 or 2 -- and too often we are there on a Sunday!!!

Agree with KK! Our last cruise stop there was 5 hours TOTAL! Made me wonder WHY we even stopped!
