Frubals are "thank yous" and "atta boys". We give them out for good posts, really really bad posts, and just for the fun of it.

Can't tell you about NCL, (I'll bet someone can), but as to the others . . .

I saw tons of young people on Carnival - both the 4 day and the 7 day that I did with them.

On Royal Caribbean, I sometimes see more young people than older people on the shorter ( 3 or 4 nights) cruises. Not quite as many on the ones that are a week or longer, but still plenty - a real mix of young people, families, and seniors.

Celebrity - fewer young people than RCL.

Hal - from what I hear - fewest of all. (Haven't had the pleasure of sailing HAL yet myself, but sure would like to!)

I would suggest Carnival too, Nice ships, good food, awesome buffet, lots going on!!

Carnival was our least favorite cruise which goes to show tha Lines vary from cruise to cruise and itinerary to itinerary.

NCL is our overall favorite due to Freestyle.

Don't rule out Costa! We had a great time! Toga party!

Here is your explanation of Frubals

Frubals

Have you ever heard the phrase 'instant karma'? Frubals (sometimes known as 'reputation') are a very close equivalent. Let's say, for example, you see a post that you really like. You can validate that person by clicking on the little scale icon that appears in that post. (It's toward the right-hand side, up top)

A pop-up message will come up, asking what you thought of the post and will have a blank space where you can write your thoughts on that post. The other member will have it noted in their "User CP" that someone thought that that post was worth frubals, and if you enclosed a note, that will appear next to the notation.

Click on User CP -- scroll down a bit and you will see how much reputation (how many frubals) you have and who gave them to you, along with their personal message. It will display the last 20 posters who have sent you frubals.

Scroll a tiny bit more and you will see how many you can give (reputation power). The number of frubals you can send each time is based on how much "reputation" you have acquired.

The message you get in your Private Messages box is the canned one that automatically goes out when someone sends frubals. The "real" message is on the User CP page..... and you can see which post earned you the frubals, too.

The more you get, the more you can give, but you have to have made 50 posts on the boards yourself before your frubals have any value to someone else.

thanks everybody! I had no idea I would get this much response.

I`am gonna try to talk to a TA later this week or next. I`am thinking we will go with carnival or royal caribbean. It sound like RC is a little nicer, while carnival is a little more crazy....? My 3 friends are more of the crazy type I guess, and I guess I`am more of the thinker(I guess thats why I `am haveing to plan this lol), so trying to make everybody happy. They drink and party a lot and I don`t that much.

I`am just asking so many questions because I don`t really know what to expect.

We love to help so if you need more questions answered, just ask. But please make sure you get a really good TA, maybe on word of mouth from friends.

There is no shortage of opinions here that's for sure.

And do you know why that is a very good thing? First of all, a cruiser without an opinion just isn't paying attention and might as well go on a land (

) vacation. Secondly it shows just how diverse cruising is. It is not just for the elite or the young or the old or the rich, or whatever. Cruising is for everybody!

There are so many different ships and itineraries and lifestyles that basically everyone that wants to cruise should be able to do so.
