7 night free cruise for listening to 90 minute presentation?

Okay, so I get this card in the mail, 7 night cruise for two, yours free if you attend a 90 minute presentation, no purchase required, etc. Now I have never gone to one of these things. I detest that kind of solicitation. But this is a cruise we are talking about.

Are they for real? It has the Carnival logo all over it but it says it might not be Carnival although they are a major supplier. I do not want to waste my time if this is not real.

Hoping someone out there knows about this.....

I think I've gotten some offers like this in the mail, but I immediately toss them into the recycling bin. I seem to remember seeing Carnival's or RC's logo but I'm willing to bet they have nothing to do with the mailing. I know for sure my hubby would rather go without cruising than sit through a presentation. Definitely check out the fine print (black out dates, any hidden costs) if you're going to look further into this.

I went to a presentation with a bahamas cruise as the award for going. They offered me a three day cruise out of florida or 7 days in a condo in the virgin islands. I calculated the airfares and offered the awards supplier that I would pay the $600.00 towards a cruise presidents week out of NY. They agree and I went on my first cruise on the new NCL GEM that February jpaying just 600 forthe two of us, about half the fare at the time as presidents week is expensive. If I lived near Florida I probably would have taken the cruise they offered.

We've been to several presentations like this and the sales pitch is always extremely hard sell. So be ready to spend ALOT of time saying no.

Had a client send me a copy of one of these they got and reading the fine print, it appeared to me that the cruise fare was paid for, but you had to pay for the port fees and taxes. So while you can save some money, you have to ask yourself if it's really worth it or not.

As your mother always told you, "If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is."
