Pete, the reason I switched to CLF is the way CC memnbers treated me - like crap. They do not respect me for who I am or cAre about my feelings. After 560 posts I cleared my profile and deleted my signature and avatar, then logged out. The idiots who hated me will not see me again.

You have to wonder why somebody would say on that board it takes three hours to go from the ship to the dock at tender ports when it does not take nearly that long or many think it's better to carry your passport off the ship instead of lock it up. Unbelievable what people on CC post there.

Now you can concentrate on the positive and friendly aspect of cruiselinefans and put all things CC behind you.

Remember what I said about the Dark Side; people there LOVE negativity! As the old expression goes, "Misery loves company." And 'critic' is a good name for that group as they are all critics.

I will admit that I do occasionally use that site, but the only thing I do is check out the roll calls when I'm going on a cruise to see if I can get into a group doing a shore excursion, such as our 2-day St. Petersburg, Russia tour. But even then, I'm being selfish because I want to save money.

Overall, most of what I've read over there is full of junk (I'm being polite).

Unfortunately, we've become a very negative society - look at the TV news and the newspaper. It's all full of negativity because that's what sells. And negativity gets the biggest reactions, which is why most people over there are negative, because it will get them the most notice. And after all, that's what they are really looking for - notoriety! You can't get noticed if all you do is talk about the positive things.

And if you really want quick and decisive action, speak bad about NCL over there. NCL supports that site and everything that is ever posted about NCL must be positive or you'll get banned right away. And everything ever quoted from NCL is always overstated and usually quite wrong.

You have to understand that site is a commercial site - that's why you're always getting solicitations in your email account from them. You'll notice you don't get that from CLF, which speaks volumes about this site.

Everyone here is polite and very willing to share information. Even if they disagree with you or don't like what you have to say, they object in a civilize manner realizing that everyone is entitled to their opinion and respects their right to say so.

Bottom line is that CLF is a place to gather information to help you plan and enjoy your vacation. After all, that's what we all want, whether it be for ourselves or others. We do not take pleasure in hearing about people's mishaps, but hope we can all learn something to insure others do not make the same mistakes.

So, welcome aboard CLF - we're glad you're here!
