Is it true the Acropolis is bad for people with mobility problems? I can walk unassisted on the ground, but need a banister on stairs.
I understand about the large suitcase, which is the same reason why we decided to go on a Med cruise A flight from Venice to Rome would still involve luggage and taxis or buses from the airport to the City. Unfortunately, Venice's location is much closer to the ports you were not interested in seeing, so trying to add Venice into your wish list of ports of call or avoid the ports closest to Venice is probably the biggest hurdle.

I was at the Acropolis in 2005. Most of the area surrounding it is very hilly and there are stairs in various parts. Some of the stairways had railings, but not all of them. It could be a difficult place to navigate for people with mobility problems, unless something has been added since it's been over 5 years since I was there.
