    Question in cabin internet connection

I have hard time to find out which cruise ship does have in-cabin internet connection. I am not looking for "hot spots" on the cruise ship but the option of using my own computer in cabin.
    Thank you

There are two cruise lines that I know have in-room access.

NCL has a few ships that offer in-room access, but not every ship.

The following Carnival ships have "Bow2Stern" access.
    Carnival Conquest
    Carnival Destiny
    Carnival Fantasy
    Carnival Freedom
    Carnival Imagination
    Carnival Inspiration
    Carnival Legend
    Carnival Liberty
    Carnival Miracle
    Carnival Pride
    Carnival Sensation
    Carnival Spirit
    Carnival Splendor
    Carnival Triumph
    Carnival Valor
    Carnival Victory

The standard charge of .40 to .75 per minute will apply. With a connection fee.

RCCL, Celebrity, Holland America, Costa, MSC and Princess offer the "hot-Spot" access.

    Hope this helps.

The Freedom Class ships of Royal Caribbean also have Wi-Fi throughout the ship, which includes the staterooms.

Thank you very much - this information is huge help. But I was wondering but cruising internet I do find quite a lot of informations - like this:
    Cabins

Brilliance of the Seas is the second in Royal Caribbean's new Radiance class. The ship's layout and facilities combine some of the best features from the larger Voyager class and the smaller Vision class ships.

Of a total of 1,050 cabins, 813 have an ocean view; of these, 577 have balconies (about 77 percent, the highest ratio in the Royal Caribbean fleet). All cabins have color television with remote, which broadcasts a variety of channels, from RCTV's interactive network (where you can order room service or pay-per-view flicks, buy shore excursions or check your onboard tab) to CNN. All have mini-bars (you pay for what you use), telephones, 110-220 electrical outlets, beds that convert to double or single, loveseats, and in-cabin computer jack for Internet hookups.

What had happend to this ship ?? - Did they "rip the connection out" ??

misko, I think that did happen. I sailed her sister ship, Serenade in 2005, and they had a dial- up connection in the cabins - but you had to rent a special phone. My guess is that people are used to faster connections, that they decided to stop supporting the dial-up, and invested they IT budget into wireless.

That said, you might find that you can access wireless in your cabin, as Ziggy pointed out.

They did have wireless so you could use your own computer in your cabin. Just make sure you log off the wireless connection or it will cost you many minutes! RCI will not accept the excuse you thought you were logged off, even though it shows them you were inactive during those accidental accrued minutes!

I believe you will need to type 1.1.1.1.1 in your browser address line, when you sign on it will tell you what to type, so write it down and do it every time, I did it a few times just to make sure each time LOL
