Thread: Transfers from newark

we are flying into newark and leaving out of red hook cruise terminal--we are doing princess-would you get princess transfers and go back to the airport on the day of departure or would you hire a car service---we are flying in the day before and staying at the airport hotel- we are doing our own air.

A car service would be more private however from Brooklyn, NY to Newark, NJ is a few miles and I think there should be a bridge or some other toll roads along the way, so that might jack up the simple 15 mile ride a bit...

Just something to keep in mind.

I actually have clients who live in NJ who are getting dropped off at Newark Airport to take the Princess transfers to the cruise pier.

As a New Jersey-ite, unless you know of a car service to hire ahead of time, I would probably go with the Princess transfers. Just to give you an idea of prices, for me to take a car service from my home (25 miles - 40 minutes) to the airport, the cost per car is a minumum of $80.

Although mileage wise, the trip may not look very long from the airport to the pier, there are many tolls that would need to be paid and, in many instances, the car service will charge you for the tolls for the car to get back to NJ.

My clients are paying $68 per person round trip. I would imagine a car service would run even more.
