Help with online check-in with MSC - Cruise Line Fans: Cruise Forum, Reviews and Chat From Real Cruisers

I've read somewhere that MSC now has online check in and hope someone here can help me with a link. My TA is out on leave and while the girl taking over for him is nice I'm not sure how much she really knows about MSC.

Thanks,Ii know about that form and have had it completed for awhile. I am thinking that people were talking about a form for giving your credit card for the sign/sail.

MSC does not have an online form for credit cards, at least not yet. It won't take but a couple of minutes once you reach the check in desk for this information to be input into the computer. I don't normally give my credit card in advance because they always verify at check-in.

I beleive I found what I was looking for:

I will try it about a week prior to boarding so will let you know if does take credit card info.

Sorry I did not see this earlier. Yes, that is what you're looking for. This is a new feature they added in late October 2008. Below is their Press Release.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (OCTOBER 20, 2008) – MSC Cruises is now offering online express check-in, expediting embarkation for its guests.

In order to utilize MSC Express, guests can log onto MSC Cruise Lines | Deals On Cruises | Cruise Vacations | Vacation Cruiselines up to 48 hours prior to departure and click on the MSC Express icon to enter their booking information. The completed printed form, cruise ticket and required identification information can then be presented at the MSC Express priority check-in desk at the port.

“MSC Express serves to fast-track guests through the check-in process, saving them valuable time and letting them start their MSC Cruises experience as soon as possible,” says Richard E. Sasso, president and CEO of MSC Cruises, USA.

I will be sure to let CLF know how well it works. Don't think there will be any problem with filling out the form but really not sure how well it will work at actualy check in at the port.

We always appreciate first hand experiences that will help future cruisers. Since this is a new option, I imagine that a few kinks will have to be ironed out, but that's not unusual for new things.

Hope it does expedite your boarding process.

You can let us know, but it's the same concept as Carnival's Fun Pass, Royal Caribbean's Set Sail, as well as Princess, NCL and Celebrity's online check-in procedure.
