I am using a TA called "askourcruiseagents", and I'm wondering if anybody else has used them and if there were any problems.
Thanks,

I have never heard of them. You are better off booking with a TA rather than an online site, better service.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Hey there!
You asked this question back in September and got a few responses. Check out your previous post here --> Have you heard of this TA - Cruise Line Fans: Cruise Reviews and Chat From Rea (Have you heard of this TA)
I have not heard of this TA prior to your asking.
Just checked the website, this is an agent who's a CLIA ACC agent with 20 years experience. He/she specializes in Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise Lines product.

I haven't heard of them either.
They don't seem like a big online type of agency...
Sorry, couldn't be more help..

I just question an agency that only sells cruises from one line. (And yes, I realize they sell Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, & Azamara, but that's one corporation.) How can an agent be subjective? If they don't offer other cruise lines, how can they help you find the right cruise to fit your lifestyle, budget, and itinerary? Not everyone fits into one of these three companies.

There are so many agencies out there, I don't think you can judge one just because nobody has heard of it.
It sounds to me that they are specializing in a certain line of products and creating a niche for themselves. That doesn't mean that you should worry about them. There are plenty of RCL fans out there and it seems that they are catering to them.
Obviously, you will be directed to the products that they sell, but you know that upfront if you have done your due diligence. They may be very well-versed in the RCCL product.
There are people who sell only Disney. They are concentrating on a certain market, but that doesn't make them questionable.

I wasn't inferring that they are 'questionable', I was simply making a point that I would question an agency that only sells one product since they would not be able to assist people who may fit better with another cruise line. They may be wonderful people in a very reputable agency who are committed to their clients, so I would never question their abilities or professionalism. As you stated, you would know going into it that they specialize with only one company, so perhaps the term 'question' was incorrectly used on my part. Personally, if I were looking for a cruise, I would just want an agency who didn't specialize as it's very important to find the right cruise based on a person's specific needs. What's good for one is bad for another. As I always say, if you're a Crystal cruiser I'm not going to try and sell you Carnival and vice versa.
I once listened to a AAA agent try and sell a Carnival cruise to an older couple who wanted to go to the Mexican Riviera. She was clearly not listening to what this couple wanted they said they wanted a cruise that catered more to an older crowd and had never cruised before. So, instead of talking about all the different cruise lines offering a Mexican Riviera cruise (Princess, Holland, Royal Caribbean, etc), she only talked about Carnival and never even mentioned the others. This was clearly doing a disservice to the client.
I apologize if my comments appeared that I was questioning their integrity, as that was clearly not my intent.
If you are a RCCL cruiser and know what you want and decide to go to an agency that only sells RCCL, then go for it. They will probably provide you an excellent service.
But if you have no idea what cruise line you'd like to try, then go with an agency that represents ALL the cruise lines, especially if you are new to cruising or have alot of questions.
