Flying in to FLL, getting to Miami port

Hi, We are flying in to FLL the day before our cruise leaves. Our cruise leaves from Maimi. What is the easiest, cheapest or best way to get to the port. It is my husband and I and our 2 small children.
    Thanks

Last two times we did it, we took the ship shuttle but that was the day of the cruise. Sorry, I don't think that will work for you. Let me check around.

There are shuttle services available, but they usually go from the airport to the port. That being said, I would recomend either using a town car service or renting a car for the day and returning it in Miami the day of the cruise.

If you go with the town car, you can arrange r/t transportation, but you won't have anything to use while in Miami.

If you go with a rental car, you will have a way to get around for your pre-cruise day. Then you could arrange for transportation from the port to the Ft. Lauderdale airport. One I found is F.LAUDERDALE AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION TO THE PORT OF MIAMI

The one time we flew into Ft. Lauderdale and sailed from Miami we used a town car service and there were 4 of us (flew in the day of cruise). It was slightly more expensive than a shuttle, but it was definitely more comfortable and we were on our schedule, not a buses.

    Hope this helps.

There are plenty of shuttle companies that will do these transfers? Have you asked your travel agent? They will be able to get it set up for you.
