    Cruise Price Reductions

I have noticed several cruise lines reduce prices after the final payment date. What is Celebrities policy if they lower the price after the final payment? If you booked early, do you get a price adjustment?

Celebrity will allow us to get the special for our clients provided it's not a "for new bookings only" special. If it's a regular special, it's not a problem and we'll be able to get clients a refund for the overpayment.

They are one of the easier ones to work with, unlike some, such as NCL, who will not allow us to get any specials after final payment is made.

So, as I tell my clients, not only do we monitor the specials to see if anything is offered that would get you a better price, but you also need to keep your eyes open. The more people watching, the better the chances of finding a special. And they will often post these specials in various ways for various lengths of time to various groups (residents, seniors, military, past guest, etc), so always keep checking as you never know when a special will be offered or for how long.

    Thanks for the info Pete.
It is nice to know what lines are more flexible on those things.
Does RCL handle it the same way?

Yes, RCCL is one of the best to work with when it comes to getting reductions for specials. Celebrity, Holland America, and Princess are also good about it, Carnival is only so-so, and NCL is the worst.

I've found Carnival is pretty good but as Pete mentioned NCL just doesn't allow any reduction after final payment.
