My personal opinion is that Holland would provide a better experience because the food is better, the service is better, the beds are the most comfortable in the industry, and they have some wonderful ships and itineraries.

However, keep in mind that Holland attracts an older crowd.

Princess, on the other hand, also provides a great experience and you would not be disappointed with them. And since they attract a younger crowd, you might feel more comfortable with them.

Normally, a Med cruise has an older crowd to begin with, especially if you plan to go when school is out. So there won't be a huge difference in the ages of the crowds and therefore comes down to what you're looking for.

Sorry for being so vague, but having sailed with both companies many times, I can say I would not hesitate cruising with either one. It really boils down to the itineraries, the ships, and the pricing.

Hey Laura! Welcome to our friendly cruise community!

Have you cruised before? If so, you have some experience with the food & service of those lines. I assume you haven't cruised with the 2 lines you are asking about.

Are you looking at any particular itinerary? If we knew a little more about what your interests are we can be more specific.

I think at that age you may want to take the princess over Holland...

Normally I'd say choose Princess over Holland but have you considered Royal Caribbean? I just got of a Royal Caribbean cruise in the Med. It was wonderfull and tied with my 1st Alaska cruise with Princess as The Best Cruise I've ever taken.

Hi there yes looked into royal nice ships but royal does not hit the same med countries as holland. We are travelling from Canada to europe and I guess we should put the itinerary first over the ship. Have to book but we have to do more research.
