To the TA's: Have you heard of this Insurance Co?

    Prime Travel Protection, Inc.

Their website is: Prime Travel Protection, Inc

This was recommended by my TA. Has anyone ever heard or used this insurance?

    Thanks!

    I haven't used this company.

I like I Travel Insured (must be purchased through a TA)

    AIG Travel Guard is another.

There are a bunch out there.

    Never heard of them.

Out of curiosity, I ran a price for a made-up trip for my wife and I and their rates were higher than several other companies we do business with, plus their coverage was not as good.

You can check out various rates on Travel Insurance - InsureMyTrip.com to compare this company against several others. But make sure you not only compare the rates, but compare the coverages as often the cheapest is not the best way to go.

I'll put in a plug for Travel Safe as we've used them exclusively for many years and have been extremely happy with their rates, their coverages, and especially their customer service when needed.

Our company fired I Travel Insured and AIG because of a lack of customer service and the fact their rates are higher while their coverages are less.

Remember, it's not only the coverage you're buying, but the service afterwards, if you ever need it and that's the most important thing.

I too suggest using Travel Insurance - InsureMyTrip.com

I have had good service from TravelGuard on several claims that clients have
processed. They do have several policies that cover most travelers and their needs.

Thumbs down Prime Travel Protection Insurance Scam!

I've DEFINITELY heard of them! The CEO of this company, Jerry Watson, formerly worked for Trip Assured, a company that six states issued Cease and Desist Orders against, and all major credit card companies refused to do business with before they went out of business in 2006. Mr. Watson appears to be running the same kind of company. Tennessee has already issued a Cease and Desist Order against his company. He's moved into three different states, and operated under three different names in the last two years.
