that is true Pete...in general when I am doing any pricing, I include the cruisefare, port or non commissionable fares, taxes and the lovely new fuel surcharges...I don't separate it out...one price that includes everything...I personally don't like the so called "lead in " fares...then some agents tell about the taxes and fuel surcharges later....I agree with Pete...just give the price total.
That is exactly what we do, include it all. After all, it isn't as if they have the option to pick and choose. The unfortunate commentary on the industry is that you really have to explain all of it to the client as they will compare the price against an agency or cruise line that doesn't include all of it.

And therefore we have this board! Great place for people to really get the right scoop.

I have always included taxes, fees and port charges in when I advertise any cruise price. I don't want my clients to have any surprises that they weren't expecting when it comes to pricing.

CLF TA's
A CLF TA is one who: A) is already a contributing member of CLF; B) is associated with a legitimate agency; C) has submitted their credentials to CLF staff, and has been approved as a CLF TA.
Okay, I can achieve A with time. What does the CLF staff want to see for points B & C, and to whom do I send it?
Also, I think I have seen conflicting advice on signatures. Is a phone number required, or not allowed? I can deal with either, just want to be correct. The wording for listing cruises we will be on is also confusing. Are we allowed to list that information, or is it prohibited? Again, I can live with it either way.

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
