Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
This should be interesting.![]()

Hubby & I are considering cruise options for 2008. Cost, as always, is a factor. Just like everyone, looking to save as much as possible.
Time: May 2008 or Sept-Nov 2008
Depart: FL
Duration: 10-16 days
Destination: Back2back any combination of Carribean (East, West, Southern) preferably without changing cabins
or
Mediterranean/Greek
or
Repositioning cruise
Cabin: Balcony
Past guest status with both Carnival and Princess.
Have on hold with Princess a future cruise deposit of $100 each made on our last sailing in 2006.
I've tried looking at the various sites and get confused.
Any TA's out therewith any suggestions and prices?
We have points to use for airfare.
We're now considering the 11/30/08 Island Princess Excotic Panama cruise from Ft. lauderdale to Los Angeles. Be interest in info for category BD Caribe or Dolphin balcony cabin port midship.
Princess has offered this sailing at $2,249. Excluding port/taxes.
Received a quote from an online agency of $2,224.54 (which includes port charges and gvt taxes).
What do you think?
Ok, the $2249 from Princess doesn't include the taxes or the fuel surcharge...
Does the $2224 include the fuel surcharge?
No. I understand it is an addition $70 per person.
I pm'd you....yes $70 per person...
Good Morning!!
After reading all of the posts in this forum, I am ready with some ?? regarding a group cruise!
Right now we are interested in the Mexican Riviera sailing of the Carnival Splendor, March 29, 2009. I have 7 couples interested with some possibly bringing children with in their cabin. I have encouraged all to go with balcony cabins as they are the best!!. We would be flying into LA the day before and staying a a hotel near the port. I am very interested in making this an official CLF Group cruise as I think the more the merrier!!! Here goes with the questions...
1. When would be the best time to book to a) get the best prices, b) best perks, etc?
2. Do past guest and military rates, and lower rates for certian home states, (we have some folks from Galveston and Phoenix) come into play for my guests in a group booking if they are offered on that sailing?
3. Is it possible to do say a $50 initial deposit in order to get folks excited?
4. Are there added benefits to being an official CLF Group Cruise??
I am sure I will have more ?? as time goes by but this is a start![]()
Thanks so much for everyone's time!
