What about switching TA's once booked ?

I read about transfering between the cruiseline to an agency, but what about TA to TA? Could this be done? Would it just involve canceling and re-booking? What would that process be like?Would it totally confuse the cruiseline? I would be concerned about losing the cabin we have in the process.Any,insight, advice? Thanks.

Yes you can, just tell the TA you have that you are cancelling. After you are cancelled, check to see if they have a cancelling fee first, Then rebook with another TA. The only problem that will arise is if you have booked a specific cabin. Until the cruiseline releases it you cannot immediately get it!! As far as a cancell fee, when you book with anyone new. ALWAYS ask if they have one, if ANY fees are involved with the TA do not use them!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Sue is correct. You would have to cancel the cruise with the first TA....once this is done the new TA can watch for the cabin to be released...and grab it quickly.

    Good luck....

The booking can also be transferred from one TA to another.
It is a cumbersome process though and requires the booking
TA to release the booking and the new agency to accept it.
There are forms to be filled out and faxed to the cruise line.
The cancel and rebook option is much easier but as was mentioned,
be aware that some TA's have a cancelation fee.

That is true Reggie...but I don't think many TA's are going to willingly give up their commission and let a booking go to another TA....JMHO...
