This is for fellows TA outthere.
Have you noticed that HAL's pricing, vs ==X==, exact same type of accomodations, near identical itineraries, is always quite noticeably higher ?? And it's a generally accepted wisdom that HAL is a slight little notch below ==X==...
Recently, when planning our own Europe project for '08, I ran accross the same phenomenon...Cat ''A'' on HAL (Rotterdam) was almost 5 0 %...yes, fifty percent, more than cat ''CC '' on CENTURY...same 24 days total, itineraries VERY similar.; and using the same ''nett' source for both.
Anybody out there observed the same pattern, even at that $$$ level difference ??
Any idea on why that is ?? And yet, HAL is reaching lucrative occupancy ratios, so probably not overpricing itself....could it be ==X== is ''under''pricing its sailings ??
This is the biggest pricing gap I've observed .

Hi,

Forgot to mention in my original post.....I compared '' CC '' ( Century) with ''A'' ( Rotterdam) simply because , overall, they measure up ( bath tub, size & location on Rotterdam , concierge class amenities on Century).

Just in case some folks might think I've been at this a bit too long already.....( probably true....)
