Future Cruise Credit Voucher

I recieved a voucher from Costa Cruise Lines for a cruise I could not go on, but the letter states that I should sign the voucher and return it to them. The back of the voucher has a block for the date of the future cruise and certification by the travel agent. My question then is should I send this voucher back to Costa and then notify them when I am able to take a Cruise or do I hold onto the voucher until I can go on a crusie and then send it to them?

I would sign and return, if you don't know a date, pick one and you can change it later, but I would get a copy of the signed voucher and save it before I sent the original back with a signed receipt!!

I'm a little confused. You state it is a cruise you can't go on, but also state it has a place to put your date for a future cruise.
I would check the fine print on the certificate and possibly have a TA look at what you received. Some certificates are transferrable and some are not.
I'd like a little more info before I would suggest your course of action.

When you pick a date with your TA or through Costa directly, put the information on the certificate...sign it and return...make sure to do it with a signature. And keep a photo copy of both sides.
