Do TA's buy Bon Voyage Gifts?

Do most TA's buy their repeat customers some type of Bon Voyage gifts, like a bottle of wine or a treat of some kind, in the stateroom for when the customers board?

Hi Cuz! Yes, most do! I have received a bottle of wine; a photo album and t-shirt; and 8 x 10 photo on the ship. Can't think of what else. And this while getting onboard credits and good prices!

    What else has anyone received???

Well I have never received one thing and I have been a repeat several times. My feelings are hurt. lol I guess this is why I am not using that TA anymore.

You do realize the TA's get a good price on these ideas right? I have friends that are TA's. But hey it does not matter the cost it is the thought!

I have recieved wine and Flowers!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

I give clients, first time or repeat something for a gift...and they don't always get them cheap! I once gave a VIP client private sedan transfers from MCO to Port Canaveral...lol!

I do mostly groups and I travel with most of the groups.
On my Popeye & the Pirate group, I threw a party
with snacks, beer, wine and some little novelty door prizes at the hotel where we stayed the night before the cruise. I also waived my commission on the hotel and booked the net group rate, that saved everyone some money. I also bought a few bottles of champagne on the ship and had a little party one night.

You might be surprised at what you get (or don't!) and when...

Our biggest surprise came after booking a couple of cruises through a new agent that were about a year away. During the course of the conversation, we discussed that I was just about to embark upon another cruise, booked directly through the cruise line. When we got to our cabin for that cruise, there was a bottle of wine waiting for us from our new TA!

That's my kind of TA. I think this is a good way of doing business. Odds are, you will stay with the new one from now on

That is a really lovely gift !!!!
I have never gotten nada from our TA's. Until recently we used the online TA's and all you got was a good price. Now I notice the price difference isn't that great, and when I needed my TA as an advocate, and used the Online big guys, they were NO help at all.
So I am using a "real" TA for our next cruises!

    I learned my lesson!
