I have reserved a cruise sailing from Fort Lauderdale on November 21, 2009 on the Carnival Freedom. I am looking to see what is the cheapest way flying out of San Juan. A friend of mine said to fly to Miami and they would drive us to the Fort Lauderdale pier, My question is how far is that from the Miami Int'l Airport to FT. Lauderdale pier. I don't want to make them drive to far. Thank you for you answers.

It is about a 45 minute drive from Miami to Ft Lauderdale right up route 95. As long as there are no traffic delays it will be an easy drive

If for any reason they are unable to do it after you have paid for the air tickets a cab ride would be around $80

From the Ft Lauderdale Airport, on the other hand, ihe ride is less than 10 minutes, and taxi fare runs around $15.00

Miami Int'l Airport is approximately 30 miles or 45 mins drive to Port Everglades in Ft Lauderdale. Flights into Miami are cheaper than into Ft Lauderdale by about $30.00.
