We purchase one photo from each cruise we have done and will continue to do so as we want one as a souvenir. Its usually a formal or embarkation photo. The dining room or gangway photos we never get.

I did not know you could view your pics on the in-room TV either, Sheila. This is news to me.
I am afraid there is a sucker here.....ME. I usually buy a lot of them. In my photo albums those gang plank photos start off the next port on the cruise. I even get the formal one and we are just girls cruising together. I've never regretted getting any of them. I figure I don't drink much so can afford the photos.

That is how my G/F feels.. Since I buy most of her drinks (and that is not a lot at all), her bill is low. She loves photos esp of us, so she goes nuts...
I just bought her a present, a remote for my camera to take more self photos LOL.

I heard that some cruiselines (Carnival, maybe?) have some way you can view your photos on your in-cabin tv and be able to order them in the comfort of your cabin. Seems a lot easier to me than trying to hunt down your photos on the boards in the gallery during the hours the photo dept is open. And seems like a good way to cut down on all that wasted photo paper and chemicals.
I know that Princess doesn't do this.
