Are there certain parts of the deck where you can find an open deck chair more easily?
Are there specific ships or lines that deck chair supply and placement is perfect? terrible?

Thanks.

1. I don't go out to the deck until we're ready to spend time there.
2. When we're ready to go out, we take our chances that there's available chairs. I'm not into tanning, I go out to relax and read a chick lit book and sip Pepsi, while hubby and the girl go into the pool. So I just need a chair that's in sight of the pool, especially if hubby has to leave for a few minutes to make a pit stop, I don't have far to walk to watch her. Other than that, a shady spot is nice.
3. Depending on what the crowd who's out there...if they're sunning themselves, then it's easier to find a shady spot (my choice, again near enough the pool). If the shady spots are more popular...then it's harder.
4. I haven't kept track of which ships are better at having a good supply of chairs. I'm guessing it also depends on if it's a popular pool deck cruise.
I don't approve of people rushing out in the morning, throwing stuff on the chairs to "reserve" them, and then disappearing for hours. It's not considerate and I feel cruiselines should enforce the rules as this is a sore issue. Sometimes cruiselines have their priorities wrong (being nice to passengers even when they're inconveniencing other passengers).
