Have booked this cruise for July 2009 and wondered if anyone had any comments, the ship is the Oosterdam..(new to me). Any port excursions that you might recommend? Any Hotels in Venice that one might recommend? Thank you for your help ahead of time! Just got back from our Alaska cruise/ tour and obviously we loved it, as have booked this one. So thanks for your assistance again with all my questions new and old.

We just returned from the Mediterranean and, as we sailed away from Venice, we saw a beautiful hotel called the Hotel Molino Stucky. It is located across the harbor from St. Mark's Square and the Grand Canal. Some passengers were saying how nice it was. By the way, we didn't book any excursions in Venice. We walked everywhere and had a wonderful time!
