The Beachline is now closed.

Until the fog burns off, or a breeze blows the smoke out (or both), there is no way in or out of the county (East-West) for nearly 50 miles.

If you are coming to the port from points West, you need to allow a LOT of extra time.

For now:
Going East from North of the port, use either SR 46 or 44.
Going East from South of the port, use SR 60.

The above roads are open all the way to I-95.

For those coming from the North, you will be routed OFF of I-95 and ON to US 1 st Titusville.
Your best bet would be, I think to STAY on US 1 until you reach 528, then take 528 East to the port, which will be just minutes away at that point.

Roads are starting to be re-opened now.

Drive with caution.
There are still intermittent visibility issues, and shut-downs could reoccur at any time.

The constant rain they had predicted for Houston this past weekend has finally arrived.
It started storming early this morning and since then there has huge storms separated by drizzles. There are flood watches for most neighborhood roads in my area until 4 am, and Lightning alerts as well.

Do you mean SE Texas? We have been having intermittent rain for over 36 hours now. It looks like there is a low pressure area rotating over us, centered somewhere north of Houston. Someone today said it's reminding him of Tropical Storm Allison! I hope not, because I spent the night in a convenience store during that storm. (But that's better than drowning on the freeway.)

I keep going to the window to say, OK thank you for watering my yard, now go to Florida to put out the fires.
