Thread: Tues, Wed, and Thurs in Aruba

If you cruise to Aruba, AND your ship stays through early evening, here are some weekly events to keep in mind:

TUESDAY
Bonbini Festival
Is a year-round folkloric event every Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Fort Zoutman, Oranjestad. Arts and crafts, local foods, drinks, music and dances.

WEDNESDAY
One Cool Summer:
Watapana Food & Art Festival: Held every Wednesday on the festival grounds between the Hyatt Regency Resort & Casino and the Americana Allegro Aruba Beach Resort & Casino Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Live entertainment, music, food & beverages. Local artists display their works.

THURSDAY
Caribbean Festival
A year-round weekly event highlighting the Caribbean cultural heritage of San Nicolas through folkloric dance performance and displays of local arts and foods. A street fair in downtown San Nicolas is followed by a cultural presentation in the St.Teresita Center. Every Thursday from 5:00pm to 8:30pm.

In checking some of the itineraries, it's not out of the question to include these festivities in part of your plans for Aruba - on some ships, at least.

Check your port days and times for Aruba, if you are interested. Could be fun!

If we are there on a ship that stays in the evening on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday ... it sounds like a good thing to check out. NEXT TIME WE WILL!

Once, we were on a RCL ship that was in Aruba until midnight (can't remember which day of the week) and we went to Carlos 'N Charlies and had a fun time! (Probably, we can't remember which day of the the week or much else BECAUSE of Carlos 'N Charlies.)

Adventure of the Seas used to leave at 1 AM. It departs at 8PM now. When the Carnival Destiny called in Aruba, we departed at 11:00pm in 2004. Carnival no longer sail to Aruba.
The Destiny was in port on Fridays and there was a big beach party hosted by a local radio station on Palm Beach by the Holiday Inn hotel from noon to 3 pm.
