Save yourself a lot of heartache and avoid KINGS JEWELERS at all costs. They sold us a $5,500.00 Tanzanite that turned out to be "synthetic sapphire" when we got home and had it appraised. Value is $600.00-$700.00.
Guaranteed a 2 grade diamond upgrade and after 2 appraisals, the stone they sold was 2 grades LOWER.
Deal only with reputable dealers and follow the shipboard recommendations.

So sorry to hear about what happened to you in Aruba.

When we first started to cruise over 25 years ago, you c ould trust many of the jewelers in the Caribbean as there were very few ships and shops at that time. But times have changed.

Was King's Jeweler's in Aruba a ship recommended store?

Did your ship have a form that you could fill out cincerning purchases that you bought in the ship recommended stores?

If you filled out such a form, then you may have some recourse.

Welcome! Sorry about your bad deal. If you charged the purchase call the credit company NOW if you haven't done so already. Explain the situation.

I got ripped of in St Maarten. I've learned my lesson - Don't buy jewerly while on a cruise. Just don't even tho the temptation is there. If you are so inclined to buy get it in writting about their return policy and if you have to send it back send it C.O.D. and make sure you include shipping in that C.O.D. total.
