It's been announced today at London's World Travel Market conference that a $43 million investment will lead to the creating of a new airport facility in Antigua by the end of 2013.
Minister of Tourism Miginley is quoted as saying, “The airport is the first and last impression our visitors get so we want to make sure it is a great experience.” and its 30 year tenure has seen it become outdated and not up to all the necessary 21st safety and technology standards.
This will be of great relief to many of the UK passengers that visit the island yearly - as well the North American traveler.
