I am thinking of going to Dickenson Bay during our cruise this month...

Anyone been there? It seems like a short ride from the pier and there are plenty of restaurants and water sports available too....

I am planning on doing a complete review...no worries...we still haven't decided what we are doing... I usually have everything decided upon months in advance!

Not sure if you read my review on Emerald...but I copied this about our experience:

After 3 nights at sea, we arrived near Antigua. The winds were blowing quite hard on this trip, and they were at Force 8 this day. Do to the fact the ship would be hard to maneuver at slow speed in the narrow channel leading to port, the Captain cancelled this port stop. We slowly passed around the island, and had another sea day. No rebates or perks were given.

We hadn't been to Antigua before...and were looking forward to it. I was a little bummed out...but I LOVE SEA DAYS! No complaints from me....

I had a whirlwind tour of Antigua (it was the day of the exploding hair drier and I spent much of the day waiting around in the infirmary while the nurse said they could do nothing for my burns since there is not a first aid kit on the Noordam). Anyway, we did get to see the beach and it is beautiful. Lots of US restaurants there including a Tony Romas (ours closed down two years ago so we noticed it). The beach was not crowded and is quite long so there should be plenty of room to relax.
