Thread: Runaway Beach?

We went to Sandhaven Runaway Bay at the end of last season (May) there were 6 of us. We decided to go independently even though our ship offered the lunch excursion to runaway bay, and we are really glad we did. Firstly we saved a significant amount of money and we were able to return to the ship when we wanted, we found the tour did not give you long enough on the beach. Getting a taxi was easy from the pier. We were still able to have the buffet lunch and found drinks at the bar to be reasonably priced. The beach itself is fanatastic. clear waters and plenty of room to get away from other passengers. We rented chairs and umbrellas and all in all we had a really great day.

Yes it one of my favorites, I love half moon bay as well but you cant really do that if your just in for a day

Stella .... Which did you like the better -- Runaway or HMC?

I dint think you can really compare the two they are both so different. Half moon bay offers rugged un spoilt beauty but with limited facilities and Runaway has the classic clear caribbean waters and the great classic chill out beach bar. Both beautiful....
