We don't go to the islands just to shop.

The first time we go to a new island we do an island tour to get aquainted with the place so that when we return there another time we will have an idea of what we want to do.

But one of the things we enjoy doing there is getting a day-pass at an all-inclusive resort. That way we get to spend the whole day at a lovely resort with free food, free alcohol, and free water sports for the entire day. And most of the time, the cost is about the same as most shore excursions, but with alot less people.

You wouldn't happen to be able to recommend an A-I, would ya'??? We're going to be there in November, and haven't been very impressed by what we've found for excursions (on or off the ship). Thanks for your help!

Hi Dan & Leslie, welcome to CLF I have never been to Antiqua so cannot recommend a hotel so I did a search and found this!!

Jolly Beach The sign posted public beach access is just after the main entrance of the Jolly Beach Hotel. It is one of the loveliest, longest white sand sweeps of beach on the island with safe bathing. Whilst this bay is largely occupied by the all-inclusive Jolly Beach Hotel, you can purchase a half-day or a full-day pass. This would enable you to enjoy all the facilities (food, drink and entertainment included) which the hotel has to offer (call for further details). If you are ready for some serious partying and have a huge appetite, the passes are very good value! Next door is the marina complex – a good interlude on your trip around the island.

Here is a link to the hotel!! All Inclusive Resort in the Caribbean, Jolly Beach Resort, Antigua

    Again, welcome!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Sandals has an all inclusive in Antigua now... good and not so good reviews... the better option for this resort is the Mediterranean side! Now this has good reviews! I sell alot of Sandals... it seems people know the name and trust it as well....

I would love to tour with Eli Tours but all my $$ went to paying for the 10 day cruise. ( should of told the kids NO when they begged to come) The tours are too pricey, This will probably be my only chance to see Antigua any suggestion that don't cost alot.

I am no help with the exception of telling you to get out of town! It was not where I would want to be for anymore than an hour.

This members comment says it all. You will need a day of island sightseeing if you're on a cruise, or fly in for a week and take a tour of the island over that period, you'll see much more.

So, what kind of pricing would one be looking at for a one-day pass at either the Jolly AI or the Sandals AI???

Hi, I went on to look at Jolly Beach and I couldn't get a price for a day pass. Do you remember about how much it was for a day, we have 10 young adults coming with us and the price is a issue. I appreciate the reply.
