From the Observation Lounge — where are (Krazy Kruizers) Yonnie and Joe today?

Yonnie and Joe begin an Alaskan cruise aboard M/S Amsterdam today. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

In view of the injuries Yonnie received before her last cruise which had to be cancelled, and for which she is still receiving therapy, we hope today many bad memories will be forgotten and a fantastic and memorable cruise is in store for both of them.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Yonnie and Joe our thoughts will be with you every day: Have a great cruise.<o:p></o:p>

Amsterdam is one of HAL's smaller ships, so I know they will enjoy it

Today Yonnie and Joe will board HAL Amsterdam in Seattle to begin their long awaited Alaska cruise!

At present, the Amsterdam is making her way to Seattle following two other ships also bound for Seattle...namely Celebrity Infinity and Royal Caribbean's Rhapsody of the Seas.

What a neat itinerary that is, and the size of the ship is perfect!

HAL Amsterdam is waiting for Yonnie and Joe where she will be departing at 17:00 local time. (01:00 UK 20::00 EST). Afraid I couldn’t find an active webcam covering the ship, so have submitted a simulated view.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Seattle is the northernmost major city in the contiguous United States, and the largest city in the Pacific Northwest and the state of Washington. It is a major seaport situated on a narrow isthmus between Puget Sound (an arm of the Pacific Ocean) and Lake Washington, about 114 miles (183 km) south of the Canada – United States border, and it is named after Chief Sealth "Seattle", of the Duwamish and Suquamish native tribes. Seattle is the centre of the Seattle–Tacoma–Bellevue metropolitan statistical area--the 15th largest metropolitan area in the United States, and the largest in the northwestern United States.<o:p></o:p>

Great Report on Seattle Norman.....The "Emerald City" is my former stomping grounds. Lived in the area for about half my life at various times and my daughter still lives in Olympia, the capital of Washington and just an hour from Seattle. Wish Yonnie and Joe were having more time to "see" the city. Just so very glad they made it safely to the ship and are at last on their way.

This could have been Joe and Yonnie' view of the mountain as they sailed out of Puget Sound. (If the weather co-operated.)

Seattle besides all the facts you listed has a beautiful view of Mt. Rainier the fourth highest mountain (outside of Alaska) in the continental US. I believe it also is the largest metroplotian area with a still active volcano (Mt. St. Helens) near by.
