02:00 in the morning local time as M/S Amsterdam cruises toward Icy Strait Point. She is due in another five hours’ time.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

A busy stretch of water in Alaska

Another hour gone, only four more to go before reaching Icy Stait Point as we change direction in our cruise.

The waters of Alaska are filled with ships bringing lots of folks eager to see this great land! I would go every year if I could...it's that good!

Rain doesn't spoil the beauty that is all around...it just gets you wet.

Icy Strait Point will begin its 2011 season in May with its most diverse lineup of cruise ships since opening in 2004. Six cruise lines, carrying about 130,000 passengers, will make a total of 74 calls on the port through late September.

Icy Strait Point has 12 retail shops and merchandise outlets for popular excursions, such as the Tribal Dance and Cultural Legends show and In Alaska’s Wildest Kitchen culinary class.

A new building at the base of the ZipRider will feature an expanded line of zip line merchandise, such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and glasses. Additionally guests will be able to purchase tickets at the store, as well as photos and videos of their rides on the world’s longest and highest ZipRider.

Managed to turn my ships around, so getting a stern view of Amsterdam, and a forward view of where we are going.<o:p></o:p>

Totally cool video! Never realized Bliz was such a dare devil!

The zip line is one thing we know for sure Yonnie & Joe will NOT be doing.

A change of course to head towards the zip line we know Yonnie and Joe won’t be trying
