Yonnie and Joe enjoy this cruise we were not expecting you to take. The pain and therapy Yonnie has endured, makes this one of the most rewarding observations we have made, please both of you take care and make this a memorable cruise. Thank you Char for seeing them off.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Living in the UK instead of saying Good Morning Yonnie and Joe, its Good Night Yonnie and Joe. Have a good night’s sleep and wake up for the Inside Passage in the morning.<o:p></o:p>

The Pink Thread has made me very welcome when I’ve had the time to visit, and the Observation Lounge will also make you welcome, please come and say Hello to our two very nice Pink Friends.<o:p></o:p>

I have never visited Alaska, and these observations make it very exciting for myself, to see and learn about this beautiful part of the USA. I shall be using the simulations as much as I can, as it gives us and idea of the scenery around M/S Amsterdam.<o:p></o:p>

In about 5 hours from now Yonnie and Joe will enter the Inside Passage for some very scenic cruising.

There will be land very close on both sides of the ship as they traverse the narrow waterway...some ships are too big to navigate thru this awesome channel as you can see from the aerial views that are posted below.

Under two hours they should be in the Inside Passage, They seem to be in a narrow channel leading to the Inside passage.

Its just after seven in the morning so may not be up yet, but the scenery will soon be with them after breakfast.

It's still a bit chilly, but the temps should rise a bit while they are doing their scenic cruising.

We sailed through the inside passage last month. We had low clouds but the views were breathtaking.

Thanking Garry for her wonderful pictures of the Inside Passage

The fabled Inside Passage is one of the most scenic sea-lanes in the world, and one of the few where deep-draft vessels can sail close to steep mountain walls. The scenery is unbelievable, with forests in a hundred shades of green, tumbling turquoise glaciers, and evocative towns loaded with history, culture and adventure. With most of Southeast Alaska accessible only by boat or plane, the Inside Passage is a lifeline to the outside world. All day long it humswith activity

Below our interpretation to how Yonnie and Joe are seeing the sights.

Please note these shots of the Inside Passage are the result of some brilliant Computer Technology, which we have found on the internet. Weather conditions more than likely differ to the shots we are showing. But I believe the scenery is realistic and match the actual surroundings.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
