    I loved Allure!

Just returned from a two day cruise to nowhere to check out the Allure. I was very skeptical about this ship being so large, but I have to say it was truly amazing.
The ship holds 5400 passengers, but this two day preview cruise had about 3600 on board.
Embarkation was the fastest and easiest of any cruise I have ever been on. Once on board we made our way to the Solarium cafe for lunch. They had light salads, sandwhiches and wraps along with some soups and light desserts.
After lunch we found our balcony cabin on the forward hump on deck 11. Very nice soothing colors and decor, the beds are very comfy, and the balcony was a nice size with two chairs and a table. Loved the large flat panel TV and glad to see shower doors instead of the dreaded curtain.
We spent our two days combing the ship from top to bottom, and it is truly amazing. Loved Central Park with it's brick pathways and all the plants and trees and lovely art. The Boardwalk was fun, with a carousel and Aqua theater, where they do diving shows and fountain shows. Loved all the shops and cafe's on the Royal Promenade. And the parades and dance parties there, were fun as well as the Rising Tide bar, where the whole bar and everyone in rises up two decks from the Promenade.
The ice show was good, but the theme was a bit hard to follow, but fun none the less. We also saw the musical Chicago, which was just excellent! The Aqua theater show was also really good.
We tried the new Rita's Mexican Cantina for lunch the second day and it was also very good but spicy! Dinner both nights were in the main dining room. I was a little disappointed to see the same old offerings from previous Royal Caribbean cruises, but everything was prepared very well and we had no complaints.
This ship while being so large and having so much going on was almost like being on three or four different ships, with all the different areas. The touch sreen panels on every deck at the elevator banks really helped to navitage your way around. And I truly believe there was something for everyone on this ship. If you have the chance to go, do it! We had so much fun!
I took pictures of almost every cabin category and almost all the venues, and will post an album soon.

Thanks Jen Sounds wonderful. Can't wait for the pcs
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

I haven't finished labeling them and I think there are some duplicates but you will get the idea.

Jen, many thanks! Would you let us know when you get these labeled? I've looked at the pics and am wondering which ones were JS's. Anyway, nice job and I'm sure glad you enjoyed her

We got to go into all the various types of cabins from the Presidential and Royal Suites, to the Loft suites, family oceanview, Boardwalk & Central Park, etc. And I have to say that of all the cabins, the Junior Suite is still our all-time favorite. Sure, the bigger suites are very nice, but they're also ridiculously expensive. For two people, the Junior Suite is the perfect size and affords ample space. It has a bathtub and an oversize closet.

Our Business Development Manager was in the cabin, so we spent quite a while in there and were ready to move in! It was perfect for the two of us.

We were in an oceanview balcony cabin on the bump-out and while the balcony was larger than most, the closet was relatively small.
