Thread: Arriving in Juneau at 2:30 pm, tour scheduled for 3 pm -- help please

Hi again, Hubby and I have a whale watching tour scheduled in Juneau for 3 pm and our ship arrives in port at 2:30 pm. When I booked this tour the operators made it sound as though this was no problem, but the closer we get to leaving, the more nervous I am becoming about making this tour on time.

Does anyone know how early we might need to be lining up to get off the ship to increase our probability of making it to the tour on time? Thanks for any insight

Disembarking at Juneau is quick and simple, and you can trust the whale watch operator - is it Orca you're going with? They aren't going to book you on a trip that you can't make. I'd listen for the announcments and be in position 15 minutes before docking, though, to make things as efficient as possible.

Thank you for the reply and great info! As it is a prepaid tour, I was getting a little nervous. We are going with Alaska Galore tours -- I think they outsource the tours to independent operators? Not really sure. I picked this one because I had a 2 for 1 coupon from the Alaskan toursaver guide.

Alaska Galore is an independent operator that seems to be new in Juneau. Reviews haven't been very good - complaints about the boats being too crowded.
