Thread: Has anyone ever had any problems getting back to the boat in time after a tour?

Hi, I am asking this because we booked at 3:15 Misty Fjords tour that states that they will get us back to the ship by 5:15 pm (the ship is scheduled to set sail by 6 pm and HAL told us we had to be back in like to get on by 5:30 pm). Taquan Air told me that they have others on the same sailing booked with them for the same flight and that they have never had a problem. Can anyone reassure me or set me straight?

If this is a private tour you should ensure that the tour company offers a guarantee that they will have you back to the ship in time or pay your expenses in getting to the next port of call. We just returned from Europe and the three private tours we booked all offered this guarantee. Quite honestly with the power of the internet if a tour operator fails to get you back to the ship in time they would be out of business.

Thanks so much for the reply, Canpass. I feel a bit better, though I think that I will call the one tour that I am concerned about and ask about any guarantees. It's Taquan in Ketchikan, and from what I have read, they have an excellent reputation.
