Thread: Just notified going Alaska Aug Island Princess, now what

I have not been to Alaska...not been on a cruise. I just found this forum and am so excited to explore and learn. I had been on a Wait List since March for a 10 day Cruisetour (7 day cruise, 3 day interior tour) on Island Princess. Was notified last night that we got accepted on the cruise. Are there any suggestions on what I should do to learn all the ins and outs regarding this cruise besides reading the posts here? Traveling will be my husband, 25 yr old daughter, 14 yr old daughter, and me. We are in C720/AB mini suite. A little worried as it is in the back of the ship and worried about engine noise. I'm really into photography so hoping to learn ahead of time what to prepare for. What land excursions are best?

What day is your cruise in Aug. We are on the Island Princess southbound leaving on Aug 3, 2011. We are also doing a cruise tour with 4 days on land prior to the cruise. Very excited!

I'm afraid jdaa's ship has sailed! However, might I recommend heading over to our Princess forum and make yourself known...you never know who might be sailing with you!

I was on the Island Princess in Alaska last year. I too also did a land tour (Fairbanks, Denali Princess Lodge, Mt. McKinley Lodge & Anchorage). Any questions just ask away! I love Princess Cruisetours in Alaska!
