Celebrity/RCCL were caught dumping garbage into those pristine waters some years ago and were kicked out of Glacier Bay by the US National Park Service. This total lack of concern for the environment explains why all Celebrity and RCCL cruise ships that do visit glaciers must go to Hubbard glacier, which is not a National Park and therefore any cruise line can go there. The cruise lines that are allowed into the park are not likely to give up their spots in the foreseeable future so this leaves Celebrity and RCCL out in the cold when it comes to Glacier Bay.
