I've got the balcony.....now what??

Earlier this year, we cruised with Disney... enjoyed meals, relaxing with a book and sunning on the balcony. It got a lot of use. This is our first Alaska cruise. I have got a balcony on the port side (s/b trip). We are sailing on June 19th. Obviously, the balcony will be used when we are taking pictures.
What is your favorite thing to do on the balcony on an Alaskan cruise.?

Sit out and watch the awesome views pass by! We use our balcony a lot ---no matter what the itinerary. (5 times to Alaska) If it is cold, you can come back in to warm up quite easily.

It's great to be able to sit outside and have my own piece of deck space for all the exciting things we pass. Also, when viewing the glaciers, it's a god send not to have to jocky for a good spot at the rail.

FYI....when viewing any of the many glaciers, the Captain will slowly turn the sip so everyone will get a good view. Those on the public outside decks will run from side to side to keep the glacier in sight.

By June 19th the weather should be warmer so you can have breakfast on the balcony....sit and read or take a little nap without freezing.

Usually there are extra blankets in the cabin so you can bundle up in one and order room service. Sit out and enjoy. OMG, jealous!

You answered one of my questions regarding watching glaciers from your balcony. I wondered if one side of the ship was better than the other side. Thanks!

I am going on an Alaskan Cruise in July and have not booked any onshore excursions. Any suggestions?
