We just booked Dallas to Long Beach in October for $174pp with American.......saved $200 over flying into LAX and about $400 over what RC wanted to charge.

Here are a couple of good sites.
http://www.kayak.com/s/index.jsp
http://www.mobissimo.com/search_airfare.php
I will usually use these two sites to get a good idea of the best fares out there . . . I am sure there are others.
However, I will then go to the individual airline's web site. It seems as though there prices meet or beat the discount sellers (most of the time)
and there is no fee added on. In other words on-line websites for individual airlines usually are the best deals.

I have used Delta Song to fly the kids down. I check the website, then called Delta direct with flight #'s and it has averaged $10 cheaper than the website, and I get to talk to a person!!

No argument there Sue.
However, I seem to think I just read something that Delta and others will give their best prices at their internets sites. It is cheaper for them.
But like you, I find talking to some "real" person is assuring.

The reason I need a real person is I have so many to book. If it were just a couple, easy, but several and one mistake typed, and I would have a problem. This October I booked 7 people on song!!

I have used the ITA site to check for flights and often look at Expedia, Travelocity or Orbitz but I have always booked the flights direct with the airline.
When flying to Florida we prefer non-stops and Alaska is the only airline that does them from Seattle. Flights to the LA area are very competitive. They keep trying to raise the price but when one drops they all do. We usually end up flying Alaska there as well.

I am still looking for a good rate on a flight to San Juan at Thanksgiving time. (Either T-day or the next day)
Anyone have any good tips for finding cheap flights to San Juan?
