Fishermen capture pirates who first captured them!
MOGADISHU, Somalia — Using machetes and guns, the men fought a desperate battle to take control of two boats off the Somali coast. But this time, it wasn't pirates who launched the attack — it was Egyptian fishermen who had been held hostage for four months and who killed two brigands and took others captive as they regained control of their vessels.
On Friday, the roughly three dozen newly liberated fishermen sailed toward home.

Last SA cruise season the MSC Melody was attacked by these pirates. There was a British Naval Officer on board who used the Captains gun and shot them! YAY!
This season the MSC Sinfonia had to change cource and sail down the West Coast to avoid them!
The piracy started out because the Chinese and Japanese fishing traulers rape the African fish stocks! After a successful capture of a smaller cargo vessel thinking it was a fishing vessel and receiving huge ransoms, the pirates then started to attack every ship and not just the fishing trawlers.
The Japanese are firm believers in "open seas" and often over fish the areas that they go to. What began as self preservation unfortunately degenerated into full blown piracy.
