Shore excursions are our #1 extra expense, followed closely by Tips and Specialty Restaurants!

I HIGHLY recommend David's Steakhouse on the Carnival Pride! WOW!!!

Hi CanaryMoon,

Thanks for the welcome. I have a lot of perks on this cruise, so it is very inexpensive for me. I am taking my guy on his first cruise, too! Should be lots of fun. Regent is offering 2 for 1 pricing right now. Along with the free air (from certain cities) and those unlimited free excursions (some of them cost, but at such a reduced rate), Regent is really filling up the suites this summer.

Hi I voted shore excursions and shopping. Mostly on souvenirs for our 7 GKs. Like to get native type souvenirs, don't buy the usual "made in China" ones. Will go looking for out of the way places or road side markets etc.

The ships lose money on us w/ drinks, casinos & spas. The last cruise, they didn't even have drinks of the day and the crew never even pushed any drinks, which was suprising since on a documentary we saw, it said that drinks are the big money maker on cruises.

Lulu gave great tips on Bonaire, thank you for the one @ Yennys Art place. What a treasure and fun place to wander in.

Debbie

My Signature no cruises but a land vac. in STJ USVI.

Shore excursions and shopping for us.Only pictures I've ever bought were on our first cruise, since we were celebrating an annivesary. I will buy a drink or two but usualy not even one a day.
